My role at Overfly

Making the experience feel clear and personal

Most people contact us before they know exactly what a tandem paragliding day will look like. Some are comparing flight options, some are organising a carefully planned holiday and others are excited but understandably nervous.

My role is to listen, organise the practical details and keep communication clear. I work alongside our team so that passengers know where to go, what to bring, how much time to allow and what happens if conditions require a change of plan.

Technical flight decisions belong to our certified tandem pilots and to the operational criteria shaped by Gustavo Lezcano . My perspective is different but complementary: I focus on the person who is about to experience all of this for the first time.

  • Questions before booking and practical flight guidance
  • Scheduling, meeting arrangements and daily coordination
  • Preparation and support for first-time passengers
  • Clear communication before and after the activity

A life shaped by the sea

From Punta del Este to Tenerife

I grew up in Punta del Este, Uruguay, with the Atlantic Ocean as part of everyday life. Living close to the sea made surfing a natural part of my relationship with the outdoors rather than something separate from it.

Today I continue to surf in Tenerife. The ocean teaches patience, attention and respect for changing conditions. It also reminds you that a good outdoor experience cannot be forced: you prepare well, observe what is happening and adapt when necessary.

That perspective is present in the way I work at Overfly. Guests deserve enthusiasm, but they also deserve honest information and plans that remain flexible when nature decides differently.

Experience beyond Overfly

What the diving world taught me about people

Before Overfly, I worked at a diving school in a customer-facing organisational role. The work combined answering questions, coordinating practical details and helping people approach an unfamiliar outdoor activity with better information.

I am also a certified Rescue Diver. That training reinforced the importance of preparation, calm communication, situational awareness and respect for personal limits.

Paragliding and diving are different activities, and technical decisions always belong to the qualified professionals responsible for them. What connects both worlds for me is the human side: people need to understand what will happen, feel able to ask questions and know that they are being listened to.

Why I write

The questions passengers ask before they fly

My articles come from real conversations with travellers. They focus on the practical and personal questions that arise before a first tandem flight: booking, timing, preparation, fear, expectations and the sensations people imagine they may experience.

I do not write as a pilot or as the technical authority behind the operation. For safety, weather and operational judgment, readers can consult Gustavo's detailed safety guide . My role is to explain the passenger experience honestly and in language that feels useful before the day of the flight.

“Reassurance is not telling someone not to be afraid. It is giving them enough clear information to understand what will happen and decide for themselves.”
