1. Individual and group bookings

A booking may be made by the participant or by a main booker acting on behalf of two or more participants.

When a booking is made for several people, the main booker declares that they have received this safety and risk information and agrees to share it with all participants before the activity.

Each participant must meet the necessary physical conditions, provide truthful information, follow the pilot instructions and inform Overfly Tenerife or the pilot before the flight of any medical, physical or personal circumstance relevant to their safety.

2. Nature of the activity

Tandem paragliding is an aerial active tourism activity carried out in a natural environment. It depends on wind, weather, visibility, take-off and landing terrain, and the passenger cooperation with the pilot.

The take-off point, route, exact flight duration and landing point may change for meteorological, technical, operational or safety reasons. The final decision to carry out, delay, modify or cancel the activity belongs to the pilot or activity safety manager.

3. Executing pilot and insurance

The flight will be performed by a professional pilot designated by Overfly Tenerife. The pilot may act as a self-employed collaborating professional with their own authorisation, experience and professional insurance in force.

Overfly Tenerife also holds the insurance policies corresponding to its activity. In case of incident, accident or claim, management will be handled according to the nature of the facts, the professional intervention performed and the applicable insurance coverage.

The specific details of the executing pilot and the applicable policies will be available to the user when necessary and will be recorded internally together with the booking or activity record.

4. Main risks

Each participant understands that, although safety measures are applied and the flight is performed with suitable equipment and qualified pilots, zero risk does not exist in an aerial activity in a natural environment.

  • Trips, slips or falls during take-off or landing.
  • Impacts, bruises, sprains, muscle injuries or discomfort caused by the harness.
  • Dizziness, vertigo, nausea, anxiety or discomfort during the flight.
  • Hard landing or landing in an alternative area for safety reasons.
  • Changes in wind, turbulence, thermals, sink, visibility or weather conditions.
  • Risks inherent to an aerial and adventure activity carried out in a natural environment.

5. Participant physical conditions

Each participant must be in suitable physical and mental condition to take part in the activity.

Before the flight, each participant must inform Overfly Tenerife or the pilot if they have any injury, illness, pregnancy, recent surgery, heart, respiratory, neurological or joint problem, severe vertigo, severe anxiety, mobility limitation or any other circumstance that may affect their safety during the activity.

Participants must not take part under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance that may affect coordination, understanding or the ability to follow instructions.

The company or the pilot may refuse participation if they consider that the person does not meet the appropriate safety conditions.

6. Safety instructions

Each participant agrees to follow the pilot and staff instructions at all times. In particular, the participant must:

  • Listen to the safety briefing before the flight.
  • Run during take-off if instructed by the pilot.
  • Not sit down during take-off until authorised by the pilot.
  • Adopt the indicated position for landing.
  • Not handle flight equipment, carabiners, controls, harness, camera or other items without permission.
  • Report any significant fear, discomfort or problem before or during the activity.

Failure to follow safety instructions may result in cancellation if the pilot considers that there is a risk to the participant, the pilot or third parties.

7. Required clothing and equipment

Overfly Tenerife and/or the pilot will provide the technical equipment necessary for the tandem flight.

Each participant must wear comfortable closed shoes. Comfortable clothing suitable for the weather is recommended. Sandals, flip-flops or footwear that may come off during take-off or landing are not recommended.

8. Price, cancellations and weather changes

The applicable price is the one indicated and accepted at the time of booking, with applicable taxes included according to the conditions published by Overfly Tenerife.

The activity may be delayed, modified, rescheduled or cancelled due to weather, wind, operational safety or other justified reasons. In case of cancellation by Overfly Tenerife for safety or weather reasons, the rescheduling or refund conditions informed in the booking will apply.

In case of cancellation or withdrawal by the customer, the conditions accepted at the time of contracting will apply.

9. Minors

Minors may only participate with authorisation from their mother, father, guardian or legal representative. The person who makes the booking or accepts this document on behalf of a minor declares that they have legal capacity to authorise the minor participation in the activity.

10. Complaints

Complaint forms are available to users. Any incident may be communicated to Overfly Tenerife through the contact channels indicated in the booking or on the website.
